Good news!

The special stamp question has been answered, for all of us. Chen (presenter from China) had to get the special stamp, it took an extra day so that was a little unnerving, and apparently the US is in some special book somewhere so we don’t need the special registration. We did also check with the Embassy here and their response confirmed our understanding of the situation so we should be able to depart Almaty with no registration issues on Sunday morning. Definitely good news.
