From a STEM conference in Ohio – my thought of the morning:
What are examples of true innovation (not merely creativity) in education?
Tough question. I think it easy to get stuck with innovation being creative. For me, innovation means looking at a bunch of different things that work and combining them into something that will make a lasting change for the better.
I also think that creativity can lead to lasting change. However, innovation is much more intentional and research based. It isn’t just putting something together and seeing if it flies.
